Joan McMurray Hoffman, 76, of McHarrie Towne, Baldwinsville died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Syracuse Home. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold J. Hoffman in 1997. Mrs. Hoffman, daughter of the late Harry F. and Grace McMurray, was born in Roanoke, VA. She graduated from the University of VT in 1952 in Education. She retired as an educator in 1989 from the Ashland School District. Joan was a member of the First Presbyterian of Baldwinsville, also a Life Member of O.E.S. Grace Chapter #126 NY. She was an active member of PEO, a Philanthropic Education Organization since 1952 as a past-president.

Survivors: a son, Arnold (Charlene) Hoffman, Jr. of Minoa; two daughters, Christine Hoffman-Hoxie of Syracuse and Patricia (Jay) Saternow of Oswego; a sister-in-law, Lois McMurray of FL; and a brother, Harry F. McMurray of IN; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours are Friday, May 18, 2007 3-6pm with a Memorial Service to follow at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Private burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, MA.
