Joan E. Hartner, 79, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at St. Josephs Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and had resided in Baldwinsville for over 50 years. As a young lady, she had been employed with Shubmehls Stationery in Eastwood. She was a communicant of St. Augustines Church. Joan was an avid bingo player and cherished her family and pets.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, John C. Hartner in 2011.

Survivors: her children, Kathryn (Richard) Sapp of Baldwinsville and Michael (Kim) Hartner of Rome and her grandchildren, Nicole and Dan Hartner.

Calling hours are 4-6pm Thursday, March 27, 2014, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, March 28, 2014, at St. Augustines Church Baldwinsville with burial to follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
