Joan Marguerite Ficarra, 83, of City Island, NY passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Syracuse Home At McHarrie Place in Baldwinsville, NY. She was born on City Island and lived there until moving to Baldwinsville in 2008. Joan was a communicant of St. Mary's Star of the Sea.

She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Ficarra in 2007.

Surviving are her daughter, Joann (Norman) Hirsch of Chappaqua, NY; her son, Stephen V. (Mary) Ficarra of Baldwinsville, NY; two grandchildren, Catharine and Christian Ficarra; a sister-in-law, Nancy Rosenberger; several nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at celebrated at 10:00am Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church on City Island. Burial in Pelham Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
