Jo Anne Poirier, 65, of Lysander passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center after a short illness. She was born in Syracuse and worked at various companies, from Carrier to Sealing Devices. She had been a licensed cosmetologist and a real estate agent. Jo Anne was an excellent cook and was always trying out new recipes. She enjoyed arts and crafts including, rubber stamping and sewing on her PFAFF machine. Jo Anne took great pleasure in sitting on an ocean side bench in Ogunquit, ME and cooling her heels in the small pool at Niagara on the Lake. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife of 46 years.

Jo Anne is predeceased by her parents Francis & Jean Maurer and sister Margaret Fadden in 2014.

Survivors: her husband John "Jim", son Jon (Terry) of Danbury, CT, sister Laura (Charles) Vitello of Constantia, Brother Edward (Dawn) Maurer of Parish, and several nieces & nephews.

Services: 11:00 am Monday, January 26, 2015, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Jo Anne will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Resurrection Mausoleum, Dewitt. Calling hours are 1 to 4pm Sunday, January 25, 2015, at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
