Jill Curry, 75, passed away on April 23, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on October 16, 1950 in Floral Park, NY, to Walter and Doris Werner, she was a 40-year resident of Baldwinsville before relocating to East Amherst, NY, in 2024.

Jill was a gentle soul with a patient heart. Raised in Hicksville, NY, she graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 1972 with a degree in Psychology. She worked as a dedicated school teacher for parts of five decades, mostly in the Baldwinsville Central School District at Elden Elementary. She was an avid gardener, tending to flower and vegetable gardens in her yard every year, and she loved spending time outdoors – going for walks, watching for birds, and fishing. She was also a voracious reader, a huge fan of the New York Mets, Syracuse basketball, and the Buffalo Bills, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years, Mark Curry, her children Liz Wandersee (and her husband Mark) of Buffalo, NY, and Jim Curry (and his wife Jill) of South Bend, IN. She was the proud grandmother of Louise and Henry. She is also survived by her sister, Merrilee Murello (and her husband John), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private memorial will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026 (her birthday) at Falardeau Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Baldwinsville, NY.
