Jeffrey P. Wicks, Jr., 35, died suddenly Saturday morning, January 8, 2005 at Community General Hospital. Jeff was the beloved husband of Keliane; and the devoted father of Kaylah, Jakubek "Jake", and Zekiel "Zeke". He was a lifetime resident of the Valley of Syracuse. While earning his Associates degree at OCC, he was employed at John Deere. He began earning his Associates degree in Mortuary Science at Simmons Institute of Funeral Service while employed at Intermedia Communications. Upon graduation from Simmons, he worked as a Licensed Funeral Director with the Falardeau family. Jeff was a truly astounding musician, singer and songwriter. He was extremely intelligent with an unbridled creativity and passion for all things dearest to him. He was hard-working and strong willed in every aspect of his life. He was very compassionate and a true believer in justice for those who deserve it the most. Jeff was a simple-kind-of-man who loved his family above all else.
Surviving: besides his wife and children, Jeff was dearly loved by his parents, Jeffrey and Suzanne Wicks of N. Syracuse, his sister Heather (Wicks) Scott and brother-in-law, Robert Scott and their children, his nephews , Wyatt and Clay of N. Syracuse and his maternal grandfather, John K. Mitchell of Fayetteville.
Services: 11:00am Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc. Baldwinsville. Burial, Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 4-7pm Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers may be made to Jeff's childrens' education fund in care of Keliane Wicks.
