Jeffrey M. Mahr of Baldwinsville passed away at home on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Jeff was a Clarkson graduate, and he earned his M.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was a psychologist helping and advocating for people with developmental disabilities for over 35 years at various sites throughout New York State. He enjoyed research and writing, and was published in the "American Journal on Mental Retardation" and "Transitions in Mental Retardation". In recent years, he was an adjunct professor of psychology at Onondaga Community College.

Survivors: Jeff is survived by his loving family including his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth (Betty); his children, Jonathan, Heather and Joshua; his mother, Elsie; several cousins, two sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Services: Private. The family wishes to thank Dr. Teresa Gentile, Laura Kilburg, and the staff at the Upstate Regional Oncology Center and Hospice of CNY for their support.
