Janet M. "Jan" Golden, 62, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully Saturday at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place after a courageous battle with cancer.   Jan was a proud lifelong resident of Baldwinsville and graduated from C.W. Baker High School in 1981.

She loved her community so much that she worked for 36 years after graduating for the Baldwinsville School District.  Jan also worked at the local Wegmans and was a smiling face that greeted everyone she met.  She was a role model for the many young people she worked with through the St. Mary's Youth Group.

Jan loved animals, the NY Yankees, and enjoyed sharing her interests with her many friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, John and Jean Golden; and sister, Jodie Golden.

Surviving are her sister, Jill Golden; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 13, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.

A funeral Mass with be held on Wednesday, August 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
