Jane D. Atwater, 93, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at home. Born March 17, 1931 in Syracuse, New York, she became a life long resident of Baldwinsville until moving to Alabama two years ago.

Born Beatrice Jane Duxbury, she married Ralph W. Atwater III (deceased) in 1950 and raised four sons while running a household and working at various jobs. Jane later worked for First Trust and Deposit Bank in Baldwinsville and retired as Assistant Manager at the West Side Branch of Key Bank in Syracuse. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church for over 60 years.

Jane was a voracious reader, reading multiple books simultaneously and enjoyed movies with friends. She also spent countless hours watching sons and grandchildren in sporting events. Jane loved the cottage in Thousand Islands Park, a place for family, friends, leisure and, of course, reading. She also cherished her dog, Lulu.

Jane leaves a large legacy. Proud of her Duxbury heritage, she was always an "Englishmen" and cherished time with her brothers, Ted and Tom (both deceased). She had four sons, Ralph (Kay), Charles (deceased) (Lisa), Craig (Valerie) and Terrence (Michele). She had 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren (with one more on the way) and 2 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 110 Oswego Rd, Baldwinsville. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Masks will be available, but not required, at the service.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Wellesley Island.
