Obituary

James I. Wolford, 68, of Lamson Road, Phoenix, died Friday, July 26, 2002. Born in Phoenix, he was a life resident of the Phoenix area. He graduated from Baldwinsville Academy. He retired in 1999 as a machinist after more than 20 years at D.K. Manufacturing, Fulton. He was a member and former commissioner of Cody Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Horning-Fournier American Legion Post 418, Phoenix, and Little Utica First United Methodist Church, Lysander. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors: His wife of 46 years, the former Helen L. Lewis; a daughter, Anne L. Welytok of Georgetown; two sons, David J. of Fulton and Brian T. of Navarino; a sister, Joyce A. Mattice of Jackson, Tenn.; a brother, Douglas L. of Phoenix; seven grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Falardeau Funeral Home. Burial, Jacksonville Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Monday July 29, 2002 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
