James C. Welsh, 63, of Fayetteville and later VanBuren passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at University Hospital. Jimmy Welsh, also known affectionately as "Baron", was a friendly and familiar presence in the Village of Fayetteville during his young years and will be remembered for his good nature. Jimmy attended the Fayetteville-Manlius Schools and was later employed at the Ground Round Restaurant and in the Adult Care industry.

He was predeceased by a nephew Michael Welsh.

Survivors: his wife, Noreen Koegel Welsh; his children, Roseanne Welsh and Eric Welsh; a grandchild, Liam Welsh; his siblings Christine Welsh (Doug Mitchell) Ted (Tina) Welsh, Stephen (Susan) Welsh and Maureen Welsh-Fagan; 8 nieces and nephews and 6 great- nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 3:00-6:00 pm Thursday, ,January 28, 2016, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville with services to follow at 6:00pm.
