Obituary

James William Ryan, 18, beloved son of Elmer and Eve Ryan, of Baldwinsville, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.  Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Baldwinsville and a 2025 graduate with honors of C.W. Baker High School.

Jimmy was truly an incredible human being.  He was kind, gentle, and loving.  He had a warmth about him, the kind that made people feel safe and seen just by being around him. He made people laugh and let them know that he cared so deeply. He had a quiet strength.  He made us laugh and always want to be around him.  He was the best person to hang out with and had a contagious laughter. Jimmy was fun and easy to talk to and simply somebody you want to be around.  His smile was truly a light in any room.

Jimmy was genuine and a special person in this world. Jimmy was a dedicated athlete and an avid proponent of physical fitness.  Jimmy was an intelligent man who had a wide variety of interests including drumming, playing cello, reading, enjoying nature in any form, fishing, and mechanical tinkering. Jimmy studied martial arts for many years, obtaining his black belt at an early age, and furthered his martial arts study with Jujitsu.

Jimmy loved spending time outdoors.  He enjoyed skate boarding, football, music, and anything nature had to offer.  In his younger days he enjoyed his time in BYSA (Baldwinsville Youth Soccer Association).

He is survived by his parents, Elmer and Eve Ryan; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth T. Ryan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who loved him dearly.
