James K. Pitts, 86, passed away Monday, July 4 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in McKeesport, PA to William and Enola Pitts. He met his wife of almost 64 years, Claudette, on a blind date during his time serving in the US Air Force. He retired from Kilian Manufacturing Corporation after 46 years of service. Jim was a big movie buff and he enjoyed reading, listening to music and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Claudette Thompson Pitts; children, Catherine (Scott) Sanborn, Patricia Pitts, Diane (Terry) Zarnowski, Stephanie (Andrew) Keeney, and James Michael (Dawn) Pitts; grandchildren, Joelle, Rebekah, and Mary Zarnowski and Emily and Kathryn Keeney; sister, Phyllis Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 9-11 am Thursday, July 7 at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville, immediately followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial. There will be a private burial at a later date.
