James A. McGivney, 69, of Baldwinsville, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 in Orman Beach, FL. He was born in Syracuse and worked as a sheet-rocker in New York for many years as a member of the CNY Painters & Allied Trades Local #31. He was also an Army Veteran and a member of both the Baldwinsville VFW Post #153 and the American Legion Post #113. He was predeceased by his brother Richard McGivney in 1989.

Surviving are two sisters, Rose Mary Dow of North Florence and June McGivney of Baldwinsville; one brother, Bernard McGivney of Lonpoc, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:30am Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00am at St. Mary's Church, Baldwisnville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday, December 20, 2004 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
