James Aloysius "Jack" Ladstatter of Baldwinsville, passed away on February 22, 2019. Jack was born February 23, 1933 in Manhattan, NY and grew up in Queens, NY. He was the son of the late Jacob and Pauline Ladstatter.

On May 2, 1959 he married Mary Patricia "Pat" Ladstatter who survives in Baldwinsville. Also surviving are: sister, Pauline Ladstatter, children; Jack (Susan) Ladstatter of Syracuse, Mary (Robert) Smakula, West Virginia, Paul Ladstatter, Delaware, and Louis (Karen) Ladstatter, Rhode Island, and grandchildren: Alex Ladstatter, Kate Ladstatter, Abigail Ladstatter, Karl Smakula and Glen Smakula.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law Joan (Paul) Ladstatter.

Jack graduated from The Cooper Union and received a master's degree from the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. He had a long career as an electrical engineer for the General Electric Company working at several locations in the Syracuse area. He was a 4H leader and taught a group of boys basic electrical and woodworking skills.

He enjoyed building projects at his children's homes and spending time with grandchildren and their dogs. Retirement was a rewarding chapter of Jack's life, traveling around the US, Europe and Australia with Pat by his side.

He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels at Canton Woods, an AARP driver safety instructor, AARP tax preparation assistant, and later worked at election polls. He was a member of the St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, the North Area Family YMCA and the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree.

Visitation will be 4-7 pm Monday, February 25 at the Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville. A funeral mass will be 10 am Tuesday, February 26 at St. Mary's of the Assumption in Baldwinsville.

The family wishes to thank Hospice CNY and Francis House in Syracuse for the care and compassion given to Jack and his family.
