James "Poppy" Houde, 78 of Baldwinsville, passed away on March 26, 2023. Following high school, Jim served in the US Military for 13 years (Navy and Army) before beginning a 40-year career with Carrier where he retired as a supervisor. In his retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at Costco where he was well known.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman, and a member of the Camillus Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod and kayaking in the Adirondacks. Nothing made him smile more than spending time with his grandchildren - telling them tall tales, and lovingly caring for all of his fur babies. He found humor in any situation and never let a day go by without making somebody laugh.

Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years Donna (St.Denis); children, Tammy (Bruce) Saunders, Nicole (James) Hiltbrand, and James (Jessica) Houde; grandchildren, Sydney (Ian) Graham, Samantha, and Austin Saunders; Ryan, Alexander, Nolan, Gavin, and Gwyneth Hiltbrand; Griffin, Garrett, and Liam Houde; great-grandchildren, Jesse James and Lexi Rae, Chay and Dixie Grace; along with Midge St.Denis who is like a daughter to Jim and Donna.
