James M. Finnegan, 57, passed away Tuesday, January 7 at University Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse and was a lifelong resident of the area. Jim enjoyed classic rock, golfing, and boating. He had a love for cooking and a sweet-tooth to match.

Jim is predeceased by his father, Maurice Finnegan and uncle, Rev. John Finnegan.

Jim is survived by his longtime partner of 21 years and fiancée, Tina Regan; mother, Mary Jane Finnegan; daughters, Amber Finnegan, Jamie (AJ) Finnegan, and Kellie Finnegan; step-sons, Michael (Christine) Regan, Christopher (Dawn) Regan, and Vincent (Aubree) Regan; siblings, Patrick (Kim) Finnegan and Maura (Mike) Finnegan; niece, Megan (Michael) Sanchez; 6 grandchildren; and his beloved canine companion, Shamus.

Calling hours are 4-7 pm, Friday, January 17 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Saturday, January 18 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 3494 Route 31, Baldwinsville.
