James W. Deering, 62, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Veterans Medical Center, Syracuse. He was born in Harrisburg, PA and was employed for Americold Logistics for 37 years. James was a Marine Corp, Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Baldwinsville American Legion. Jim was a man of few words and probably what made him pull through debilitating complications of a massive stroke.

Survivors: His wife of 37 years, Sally (Mills) Deering of Baldwinsville; his mother; Virginia Deering of Oceanview, Delaware, his son, John (Deloris) Deering of Eastwood and a daughter; Jodi (Kent) Keysor of Baldwinsville; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his extended family and dear friend, Mrs. Barbara Harding and family of Lakeland and his little faithful buddy, Sophie.

Services: 9:00am Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, April 3, 2009 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
