Jack I. Polmanteer, 77, of Baldwinsville, formerly of Memphis, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 surrounded by his family. Jack was born in Syracuse. He was a crane operating engineer with the Local 545. He was also a past Chief and 50-year member of the Memphis Fire Dept.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Sandra and dog Sadie, his daughters Deborah (Bruce) Walters and Wendy (Bill) Hamm; sons Scott Polmanteer and Bryan (Amy) Polmanteer; grandchildren Colleen (Chris) Onofrietti, Jennifer (Jeff) Bratt, Brandon (Heather) Walters, Nick (Kelly) Polmanteer, Samantha (Bo) Watson, Billy and Nate Hamm; great-grandchildren Gabby, Gavin, and Christian; his sisters Marcia Kavanaugh, Marie Bowers and Cherie Balduzzi; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Saturday, May 28 from 3-6 pm at Falardeau Funeral Home 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, with a Memorial Service to follow at 6pm. Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's name can be made to the Pot of Gold Fund HOACNY, 5008 Brittonfield Pkwy, East Syracuse, NY 13057. All proceeds benefit cancer patients.
