IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jack Arthur
Fegley
July 6, 1938 – December 13, 2022
Jack Arthur Fegley passed away peacefully in his sleep, age 84, on December 13, 2022, at the Commons, Auburn, NY. Jack was born July 6, 1938, in Buffalo, NY, to Lulu Mae Taylor and Jesse Claude Fegley. He was one of four children. He graduated Portville Central School in 1956 and married his high school sweet-heart, Carol Ann Manning in 1959. Together they had three children whom he had affectionate nicknames for, Brenda Lee (Princess), Pryce Alan (Buddy), and Teri Sue (Monster). They moved to Baldwinsville, NY in 1970 where he was in sales with Prudential. He lived in the same house for 52 years next to the same neighbor Deanna Shoff. He married his second wife, Dorothy Monterville Kuykendall in 1989.
Jack was known for his love of driving, golfing, watching sports, tinkering in his shed, and asking, "Who Shot Lincoln?" He was an avid reader of mystery and thriller novels, and he consistently did the daily Word Jumble in the newspaper. He started neighborhood recycling of glass, aluminum, and newspaper years before curbside recycling was a thing. He loved all sports. He golfed in leagues at Ironwood and Seneca and his favorite athlete was none other than the Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus. His favorite sports team was the Buffalo Bills; and, he had an irreverent way of rooting against the Yankees and Orangemen. He volunteered at the Baldwinsville Ambulance Corp and was a volunteer and life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in Liverpool, NY for 33 years.
Jack is predeceased in death by his older brother Richard Jesse Fegley and several friends, Mary Reynolds, Stanley Place, Richard Shoff, Walter Crate, Robert Tonder, and James Cassidy. Jack is survived by Dorothy his wife, Carol Ann the mother of his children, his three children, five stepchildren, two grandchildren Lindsey Raynae Kennedy and Zofia Abigail Fegley, an older sister Audrey Lulu Williams of Las Vegas, younger brother Robert Bruce Fegley (Marilyn) of Johnstown, NY, and stepbrother Joseph Lotito (Kathy) of Brewerton, NY.
