Irwin L. "Irv" Bort, 89, of Baldwinsville, passed away Wednesday at home with his family by his side. Born in Baldwinsville, Irv was a contractor and builder for many years which included tile work and masonry throughout the Baldwinsville area including Baker High School.

He was a Patriot Circle member with the Baldwinsville VFW as well as a supporter of the Baldwinsville American Legion and former member of the Baldwinsville Moose Lodge.

Irv enjoyed gardening and was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan as well as the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.

He was predeceased by his son, Kevin Bort; parents, Aruthur and Florence Bort; brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Jo Anne; daughters, Patricia (Don) Kondrik, Cicero, Laurie (Hector) Serata, GA, Lisa (Terrill) Root Jr., Baldwinsville; sister; several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 15, from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
