Irmgard V. Hanley, 89, of Manlius, passed away on Friday at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place. Born in Essen, Germany, she was a child in war torn Germany and emigrated to the United States and settled in Syracuse in 1959.

Irmgard loved spending time at Cape Cod and walking at Green Lakes State Park. She was very hard-working and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and cooking.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dagmar Kadtke.

Surviving are her sons, Daniel Hanley and Matthew (Lisa) Hanley; two nieces, Pia and Stefanie.

Calling hours will be held, Wednesday, May 22, from 5 -7 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville.

Burial will be private.
