Irene J. (Hart) Gates, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2020.
Irene was born in Massena, NY on January 3, 1935, the daughter of Armand and Laurencia (Paige) Hart.

Irene was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Parish in Baldwinsville for over 60 years. She enjoyed crafts and cooking for her family.

Irene was predeceased be her husband, George. She is survived by their eight children and their families; Joanne (John) Pietras of Liverpool, Timothy of Syracuse, Linda (Thomas) Helser of Lowville, Leonard (Susan) of Munnsville, Kenneth (Kathy) of East Syracuse, Stephen of Baldwinsville, Keven of Syracuse, Son-in-law David Simonds of Baldwinsville, and Cathy (Ron Bryant) Simonds of Baldwinsville. She was a wonderful grandmother to her 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She is also survived by her sisters; Lucille Dishaw, Dolores Lancto and Frances Taylor and a brother Rolland Hart as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at St Mary of the Assumption Church, Baldwinsville with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM Tuesday at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, Social distancing will be observed.
