Ida E. Birk, 78, of VanBuren died Friday, November 17, 2006 at Crouse Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Providence, RI and lived in the Syracuse area for 60 years. Ida was employed with several companies in the area in the electronic and jewelry fields. She enjoyed her family, friends and her favorite pastime, Bingo. Ida was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Walter F. Birk in 2005; a sister, Anna Oddi and a brother, Adrian Oddi both of Rhode Island.

Survivors: Left to mourn the passing of their mother are daughters Delores (Joseph) Kline-Luchansky of Camillus and Judith (Eric) Coon of Lyncourt; two granddaughters, Lauren Coon of Lyncourt and Michelle Kline of Syracuse; two brothers, Alfred Oddi of Greenwich, CT and Joseph Oddi of Danbury, CT; several nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours for immediate family only at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:00 am Monday, November 20, 2006 at St. Augustine's Church, O'Brien Road, Baldwinsville. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
