Helen B. Segovis, 84, of Baldwinsville died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in Manhattan and graduated from both the Fashion Art & Design School and the McDowells School of Art & Design in Manhattan where she became a Fashion Illustrator for a short time. She moved to Syracuse with her family in 1950 and settled in the Baldwinsville area in 1959. She retired in 1992 after 10 years as a file clerk with the Onondaga County Social Services Department. Helen was a very gifted seamstress and artist. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Herbert J. Segovis, Jr. in 1985.
Survivors: three sons, James C. of Smithfield, RI, Lawrence P. of Liverpool, NY and Paul M. of Rexford, NY; three daughters, Rosemary Ozmon of Las Vegas, NV, Corrine Notar of Bristol, RI and Barbara C. Smith of Solvay; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; a brother-in-law, Charles Eugene Segovis of Panama City, FL; one niece and many cousins.
Services: 9:00am Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. Charles of Borromeo Church, 417 Orchard Road, Syracuse. Burial at Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours will be private. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville has charge of arrangements.
