Helen Longo, 91, of Solvay, passed away peacefully at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place, Monday, May 13, 2019. Helen has resided at Syracuse Home since 2016. She grew to love her nurses and aids and would entertain them with her stories and songs. Helen worked for over 35 years in the food industry for Andy's Inn, Coda night club, and Aunt Josie's restaurant.
Helen was the consummate cook, entertainer and storyteller. She loved art, gardening and interior decorating, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Helen are her son, Leonard Michael (Joan) Longo of Camillus; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Lauren, and Andy; daughter, Susan (Chris) Colton of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Laura and Grant; daughter, Cynthia (Cos) DiMaggio of Fairfax VA; grandchildren, Gregory and Emily; daughter, Mary Jean Longo of West Windsor, NJ; grandchild, Brett; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Joe, Nick, Thomas, Ava, Cole, Jayce and Lucas; sister, Angie (Jerry) Latessa; brother, Louie (Katie) Palladino; She also leaves behind a cousins, Diana Rynkiewicz, John Rudy, and Anthony Rudy; and several nieces and nephews.
