Helen Beers Long, 91, of Village Boulevard North, Van Buren, died Friday, October 11, 2002. Born in Cortland, she lived most of her life in the Syracuse area. She was a 1930 graduate of Cathedral High School. She was a member of the Syracuse Knights of Columbus Council 191 Auxiliary, a former member of St. Anthony's Altar & Rosary Society and a communicant of St. Augustine's Church.

Survivors: Her husband of 64 years, Lawrence E.; two sons, John E. and David M., both of Syracuse; a sister, Mary Long, of Syracuse; one sister-in-law, Margaret Long of Syracuse; one brother-in-law, Richard F. Long of Auburn; three grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2002 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street. Burial at St. Mary's Cemtery, Dewitt.
