Helen P. Lester, 98, passed away at McHarrie Place on Friday, July 12, 2019. She was born on March 2, 1921 to Howard and Bess Coleman and married to Robert C. Lester in 1939. Helen and Bob raised their only child, Bill, while living in the Valley of Syracuse where the family was actively involved. They were members of St Andrews Church and among the founders of the Valley Little League and Babe Ruth League. Helen was also a successful bowler. She was an adored Grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately adopted the term GG to refer to their beloved Great Grandma.

Helen is predeceased by her husband, Bob and her sister, Denise Funnel. She is survived by her son, Bill and his wife, Peg, her grandchildren Bill (Michelle) Lester of Baldwinsville, Mary Beth (Dan) Miller of Loveland Ohio, Colleen (Gary) Chmiel of Saratoga Springs and Tom (Monica) Lester also of Saratoga Springs. Her great-grandchildren that will carry on her legacy of wiffle ball and root beer floats are Sarah and Jack Lester, Cassidy, Zachary, and Katie Miller, Matt, Brian and Kelsey Chmiel, and Elliot, Sam, and Ezra Lester. Also surviving is her niece, Donna (Tony) George of Song Lake.

Services will be private at Falardeau Funeral Home in Baldwinsville, burial at Valley Cemetery.
