Helen J. Brookbank of Baldwinsville, NY and Centerville, MA, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 after a long illness, with her loving family by her side. She was born and educated in West Warwick, RI and has lived in several locations around the world with her family including Rome, Italy, Canada, Florida, North Carolina, and Cape Cod. Her hobbies included interior decorating and gardening. She was a "Life Master" Bridge Player and belonged to several local Bridge Clubs while living on Cape Cod. She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Veronica and Mildred and her brother, Walter.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all the wonderful people at Hospice.

Survivors: her husband of 66 years, Col. William C. Brookbank, USAF Retired; daughters, Jennifer Johns-Laupheimer of Baldwinsville and Joan (Guy) Arkut of Los Angeles, CA; a brother, Ray (Maggie) Zwolenski of Cumberland, RI; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a special friend, Mike Vinciguerra; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:00am Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Augustine's Church, 7333 O'Brien Road, Baldwinsville. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 5-7pm Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
