Harriet Helander, 84, a resident of Park Terrace passed away Saturday evening. She was born in Syracuse and lived in the area most of her life. Harriet was a member of the Liverpool First United Methodist Church and was employed for many years with General Electric as a secretary. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and ceramics. Harriet was predeceased by her husband Leo Helander.

Surviving are her daughters, Kim (Michael) Candee, Staci (Donald) Hilton, and Lori (Craig) Zinserling; her grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler, and Eric Candee; Rachel (Jakob) Patch, Shane, Sara, Jake, and Meagan Hilton; Zachariah, Noah, and Victoria Zinserling; great-grandchildren, Liam Hilton and Elliot and Oliver Patch; sister, Alice Richardson; brother, David Shaban; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 Wednesday, September 19th at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be at the North Syracuse Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
