Harold "Hal" R. Wicks, 68, of VanBuren died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at his home. He was born in Johnstown, PA and lived in the Syracuse area for many years. Hal was a graduate of SU and retired in 1993 as a Systems Analyst at General Electric Corp. after 35 years with the company and was a member of the Elfin Society. He served in the US Navy from 1955-58. Hal was a member of the Community Weslyan Church where he taught Sunday School and was church treasurer for many years. He was pre-deceased by an infant granddaughter Kimberly Rausche and son-in-law, Paul Martens.

Survivors: his wife of 49 years, the former Charlotte Darlene Beck; three daughters, Charleene Martens of Harford, PA , Cheryl Rauscher of Keller, TX, Kristin Perez of Syracuse; three sons, William and Scott Wicks both of Syracuse, and Neil of No. Syracuse, a brother, Jay of Harleysville, PA and 17 grandchildren; a niece and two nephews.

Services: 11:00am Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Community Weslyan Church, 112 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-8pm Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
