Gregory "Greg" Grice, 72, of Baldwinsville, passed away Monday at University Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, he was raised in Ringwood, NJ and moved to Baldwinsville in 1977.

He was a kind, hardworking, strong man with a determination to never give up.  Greg was full of humor with a side of sarcasm.  He loved endless conversations with anyone who would listen. He was a devoted family man and friend who always saw the good in anybody.

Greg was employed as a brewer and started his career in NYC with Rheingold Brewery before continuing his career with Schlitz Beer and Anheuser - Busch in Baldwinsville retiring 10 years ago.

He was a model railroading expert, had a love for antiquing and was a member of the Train Collectors Association. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling especially with the Anheuser-Busch team and won many awards making jelly and jam.

He volunteered his time with the Boys Scouts as, den chief, cub master, troop leader,  and eventually became a commissioner of the Longhouse Council.

Greg was predeceased by his father, George; and nephew, Patrick Shepherd.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Nadine; sons, Gregory (Amber) Grice II of Cocoa FL, Thomas Grice of Baldwinsville; daughters, Brenda (Larry) Brinkerhoff, of N. Syracuse, Christine Grice, of Meridian, Danielle Scott, of Dover, DE, Kimberly (Cory) Evans of Midlothian, VA; mother, Helga Grice, of Baldwinsville; sister, Barbara Ann (Bruce) Shepherd of Ringwood NJ; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and niece, Heather Lopez and nephew, Michael Shepherd.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or National MS Society.
