Gordon "Spud" H. Rode, 86, of Baldwinsville passed away Saturday, January 27. He was born in Liverpool the son of Carl and Clara Rode and lived most of his life in Baldwinsville. He was a 1948 graduate of Baldwinsville Academy and served in the US Air Force from 1951-55. Gordon was retired from Harris Corporation of Quincy, IL. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.

He was predeceased by his wife Norma June ; son-in-law Kevin Berkey, brother Carl and sister, Mildred Lum.

Surviving are his daughter, Michelle D. Berkey; son, Steven G. Rode; grandchildren, Jeremy (Doris) Berkey, Jami (Steve)Blandino, Jennifer (Chris) Vaughn and Jillian (Jon) Skay; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, June Wilson; brother, David (Kathy) Rode; several nieces and nephews; and his long-time companion, Nancy Goodman.

Calling hours are 4:00pm -7:00pm Wednesday at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville with a service to follow at 7:00pm. Spring burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
