Gordon "Gordie" LaLonde, 88, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center following a courageous battle with Alzieheimers Dementia.

Born April 29, 1935 in Star Lake, NY to the late Ernest and Roseanna LaLonde, he was the youngest of 11 siblings. After graduating high school in 1955 he enlisted in the Navy until 1958. He then enlisted in Air Force for 17 years until his retirement in 1976. Retired from the Baldwinsville Post Office in 1997.

Gordie with his late wife Sudenne (2023) enjoyed spending their summers camping at RiverForest campground in Weedsport NY and traveling the world to visit their children.

Gordie is survived by his four children, Timothy (Martha) Lalonde, Tina (David) Meyers, Lisa (Noel) Book and Jennifer (Rob) McNiven. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Gordon is predeceased by his wife Sudenne (2023), his granddaughter Stephanie, great granddaughter Emily and his nine siblings.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 11, from 10 a.m - 12:00 p.m at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
