Obituary

Gloria A. Hourihan, 94, of Baldwinsville, passed away Tuesday, surrounded by her four daughters. Born in Syracuse, she was a lifetime resident of Baldwinsville.

Along with her husband Bill of 63 years, Gloria spent many winters as a snowbird in Summerfield, FL. She enjoyed painting, reading, gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. Gloria was a life-long communicant of St. Mary's Church and well known for her famous carrot cakes that she made for the Lenten fish fry. Gloria also enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and also the St. Mary's Bereavement Committee.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard, and son Michael. She is survived by daughters, Patricia (Chuck) Trudell, Solvay, NY; Katherine Hourihan, Baldwinsville, NY; Debora (Ray) Tamblin, Batavia, NY; and Christine (Mark) Probst, Moyock, NC; Twelve Grandchildren; and Eight Great-Grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's School Scholarship Fund, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.
