Gladys Joyce, 85, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at University Hospital. She was born in Parish and retired in 1987 from Community-General Hospital after 17 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edward H. Joyce in 1983 and her grandson, Brian Ariola in 2001.

Survivors: 3 sons, Thomas and Timothy Joyce of Florida and Martin Joyce of Syracuse; a daughter, Marcia Ariola of Mexico, NY; 3 grandchildren, Kelly Joyce, Kristen Joyce and Amanda Ariola; a step daughter, Sandra Roberts; and several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside services and burial of Gladys Joyce at South Onondaga Cemetery on Makyes Road, Syracuse on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dominican Monastery of the Perpetual Rosary, 802 Court St., Syracuse, NY 13208.
