Gerald Kranz, 80, of Baldwinsville passed away at home on Monday November 17, 2014. He was born December 2, 1933 in Scriba. Gerald was an Industrial Arts Technology Educator for the Baldwinsville School District, retiring in 1994 after 33 years. Gerald was a member of the committee that introduced Technology Education to the classroom in New York State. He received the Regional teacher of the year from the Central NY Region. Gerald graduated from Oswego High School in1952 and received his BS in 1961 & MS in 1965 in Industrial Arts Technology from Oswego College. From 1954 to 1956 Gerald served in the Us Army, 3rd Armored Calvary Division at Ft Meade, Maryland and Amberg, Germany. He and his wife owned the Glenbrook Studio for 34 years. He was involved with many organizations including Cenral NY Technology Teachers's Association the Beauchamp Historical Club, and Baldwinsville Art Guild. Gerald did videography & set design for Theater 90. Always staying active, Gerald had many hobbies, skiing, golfing, sailing, enjoying remote control airplanes and traveling in his RV where he spent many summer's in the Thousand Islands and winter's in Florida.

Gerald was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Marguerite "Peggy" in 2006.

Survivors: daughter Carol (Scot Pfeffer) Kranz, sister Bertha Leighton, brothers Phillip, Richard, Douglas, Donald Kranz, grandsons, Richard & James Nuzzo and great granddaughter Aubrey.

Services: Saturday November 22, 2014 11am at First Presbyterian Church Baldwinsville. Calling hours are Friday 4-7pm at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville.
