Georgene "Jean" Jonov, 84, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully Saturday at Francis House surrounded by her family.

Born in Oswego, Jean lived in Baldwinsville before moving to Conquest, where she and her husband Peter, owned and operated a hobby farm with over 50 acres. After 30 years on the farm, Jean and Peter moved back to Baldwinsville.

Jean retired as a manufacturing operator with Welch-Allyn in Skaneateles Falls.

She enjoyed painting, knitting with friends at Canton Woods, taking pictures, and in her retirement, loved to travel and spend time with family and friends, and her cat RayVon.

Jean is predeceased by her husband, Peter M., who passed away in 2015; and her parents, George and Inez Smith.

Jean is survived by daughter, Jill (Brian) Shaw of Rochester; step-daughter, Yanka Mladenova of Bulgaria; three grandchildren, Danielle (Sean) Birecree, Roxanne Henry, and Bradley Shaw; step-granddaughter, Daniela (Michael) Geaslen; two great-grandchildren, Declan Smith and Josephine Ferris.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
