Georgena "Jean" Thorek, 85, of Baldwinsville died Friday, August 14, 2009, at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving children. She was born in Norfolk., NY and lived in the Baldwinsville area the past 48 years. Georgena was a communicant of St,. Augustine's Church and a member of St. Michael's R Club in Syracuse. In her earlier years, she was an avid member of the PTA and volunteer for the March of Dimes.

Georgena was predeceased by her husband, William Thorek in 1992.

Survivors: her children and their spouses, Bernard Debien, Patricia Debien, Barbara Germano, Jean (Vince) Testa, Larry (Teri) Thorek and Valerie (Alan) Thorek-Coon; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:15am Monday, August 17, 2009, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:00am in St. Augustine's Church. Burial in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are 5-8pm Sunday, August 16, 2009, at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
