George A. Kelly, Jr., 72, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, lived in Baldwinsville most of his life and was a summer resident of Constantia. He was also an honorary citizen of Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland. George was a 1950 graduate of Solvay High School and retired in 1991 after 41 years with Allied Chemical Corp. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. George was a life member and past-president of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of FASNY and OCVFA. He was also a former Baldwinsville village trustee.

Survivors: his wife of 53 years, the former Patricia M. Kotas; seven daughters, Kathleen (Jon) Kelly-Ori of Massena, Colleen (James) Wieczorek, Peg (Timothy) Gorham, Susan Kelly, Maureen (Jeffrey) Bordwell, Shirley Kelly and Mary (John) Olin all of Baldwinsville; a brother, Robert (Shirley) Getman of Baldwinsville 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services: 11:30am Thursday, January 26, 2006 at St. Mary's Church Baldwinsville, Burial in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville.
