IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George S.
Dundon
December 31, 1923 – January 21, 2015
George S. Dundon, 91, of Baldwinsville, New York, passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2015.
George is survived by his wife Edith ("Mimi") of 64 years, daughters Laura (Edward) Jordan and Emma Dundon; sons Robert (Regina) and Curtis Dundon; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. George grew up in Rochester where he graduated from Charlotte High School. His college years were interrupted by three years in the army where he served as a radio operator in both Germany and Japan. He received his degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT in 1947 and was active in Sigma Chi fraternity. Following college, he returned to Rochester where he had a long and distinguished career in the Paper Sensitizing Division at Eastman Kodak Co. After retirement, in 1989, George and Mimi built a home in Baldwinsville. George, W2TOH, was an avid HAM radio operator, communicating daily with friends across the country using Morse code. His summers were spent at the family cottage on Grindstone Island, overlooking the St. Lawrence River, where he loved to sail, fish and spend time with all four generations of his family.
Family and friends will gather for a time of remembrance at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon, January 25th, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 64 Oswego Street, Baldwinsville.
Contributions in George's memory may be made to Save the River (savetheriver.org) or On Point for College (onpointforcollege.org).
