Gary "Chris" John Whitmore, Jr., 55, of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 7th at Upstate Medical Hospital. Chris recently moved back home to Baldwinsville and was surrounded by his family when God called him home. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Chris was a commercial roofer for over 20 years and traveled all over Florida for his work. He loved the hot weather and the Florida sunshine. Chris loved NASCAR, music of all kinds, especially Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and spending time with his friends. Chris made friends wherever he went. He always kept in touch with those friends from all over Florida and back home in Baldwinsville. Chris was a kind soul who worried about everyone else before himself. He always had a carefree attitude and a smile to share. He loved being around people and living each day to its fullest. Whenever you asked Chris how he was doing, you could always expect the response, "Casual".
He is survived by his mother, Gail Hinman; his father, Gary Whitmore; his sisters, Cindy Whitmore Singer and Wendy (Scott) Van Der Water; his "lil bro", Michael Whitmore; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
