Obituary

Gary Carl Glenn passed away peacefully on July 2nd 2026, early in the morning at St.Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY, with his family close by him, from severe lung & health issues. Gary was a great Christian Man who loved God and his family with all his heart & was loved back by them with all their heart! He prayed to God for everyone he knew and read God's word every single day. He truly wanted everyone to know God's love, sacrifice & gift of eternal life that Jesus had given us all, Who believe in Him. Gary loved spending time with his family, walking at the mall or park every day, reading , watching baseball, movies, and most of all talking with family friends.

He attended Christ Community United Methodist Church on Stiles Road in Syracuse for many years and was a devoted Sunday School Teacher.

He later became a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Liverpool, NY. and was a Greeter at the church doors & helped with some events & attended some Bible Study Groups.

Gary was such a blessing to us all. He worked at many jobs over the past years. He was a potato harvester when he was a young, a print machine operator, and a care giver for many at a nursing home in Georgia. Gary was a veteran in the Army & served time in Vietnam. In his later years, he worked many years with People who had special needs at SDC, Weedsport IRA, Doe Run IRA, & other NY State Run facilities. Gary was always a dedicated hard worker & gave his all to everyone he worked with. He took pride in all that he did. He was compassionate and caring with everyone he cared for. Gary was such a Blessing to All!

He was a loving & kind son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was predeceased by his mother Jean Banach, father, Moses Glenn, mother-in-law, Helen Ripple, father-in-law Richard Jacobs, sister in-law, Teddy Jacobs, and brother-in-law, Albert Nelson.

He is survived by his wife, Candy Glenn; daughter, Sarah Becca Glenn and son-in-law, Kyle Deloff; grandPup Lucy Deloff; sister-in-law, Penny Nelson; brother, Steve Banach; sister-in-law, Patricia Banach; brother-in-law, Earl Jacobs; sister-in-law, Jackie Jacobs; and many nieces and nephews.
