Obituary

Gale G. Borrowman, 82, of Baldwinsville died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Veterans Medical Center, Syracuse. He was born in Pearl, IL and lived most of his life in the Baldwinsville area. He was an Army Air Veteran of WWII. He flew 50 missions over Africa, Italy and Germany. He was injured from flak while flying on a mission over Germany with the 15th Airforce. He was part owner of Borrowman Bros. Inc. in Syracuse, retiring in 1990. He was a Councilman in the Town of VanBuren for over 20 years, volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America for many years and was a member of the Christ Community United Methodist Church, Syracuse where he was Chairman of the Staff Parish Committee. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW Post #153. Gale was predeceased by his son Randy Borrowman in 2000.

Survivors: his wife of almost 60 years, the former Mildred E. Houghtaling; a daughter Cathy (Terry) Gallagher of Lake Placid; a son Gary (Susan) Borrowman of Baldwinsville; 3 granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

Services: Calling hours 6-9pm Friday, May 26, 2006 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial at Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Services 11:00am Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Christ Community United Methodist Church, Syracuse.
