G. Irene Brown, 96, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Seneca Hill Manor. She was born in Hartwick, graduated from Hartwick Normal and lived in the Baldwinsville area most of her life. She taught school for several years and in later years was employed with the Baldwinsville School District. Irene was predeceased by her husband, Roscoe L. Brown and two sisters, Nina Powers and Marie VanBuren.

Survivors: her daughters, Lynda B. (Bradley) Benton and Sharyn A. Brown both of Baldwinsville; a sister, Lucille Gilchrist of Cooperstown; four grandchildren, Philip M. Jocko, John L. Jocko, Peter I. (Kristen) Benton, and Matthew L. Benton; two great-grandchildren, Ethan B. Jocko and Ashton T. Benton; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 12:00 pm Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Hillview Community Baptist Church, 7382 O'Brien Rd., Baldwinsville. Burial in Hartwick Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
