Fred H. Hale, Sr., 113, formerly of South Portland, ME died Friday, November 19, 2004 at The Nottingham. He was born in New Sharon, ME and graduated from New Sharon High School. Fred was a retired Railway Postal Clerk for the US Government in Portland and was a member of the Elm Street Methodist Church in South Portland. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Flora Mooers in 1979; two daughters, Muriel Varey and Carolyn Lord and a son, Richard Hale.

Survivors: two sons, Norman D. of Murray, KY and Fred H., Jr. of Baldwinsville; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Services: 12:00pm Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland, ME. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Farmington, ME. A calling hour will be from 11:00am until noon Tuesday prior to the service.
