Franklin D. Rice, 86, of Baldwinsville died Monday, August 11, 2003 at the home of his daughter. He was born in Rahway, NJ and had lived in Syracuse 26 years and Baldwinsville the past 22 years. Mr. Rice was employed as a Millwright at Continental Can Syracuse. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and he and his wife volunteered at the USO in Syracuse. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Charlotte L. in 1996 and a son Karl.

Survivors: two daughters, Jerri Roesser of Baldwinsville, and Linda Tarris of, Michigan; three sons, Curtis D. Rice of Cato, Martin J. Rice of Oregon and Timothy W. Rice of California; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services: 7:00 pm Thursday, August 14, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial in Eaton Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Thursday, August 14, 2003 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
