Obituary

Francis P. O'Hanlon, 95, of Conifer Village, Baldwinsville, N.Y., passed away on February 11, 2011. Frank was born on July 10, 1915 in Herkimer, N.Y. and lived in Utica, N.Y. until 1978. He has resided in the Syracuse area since leaving Utica. Frank had been employed by the C. A. Durr Packing Company in Utica for over 30 years until his retirement in 1975. He also served as a member of the Executive Board, District Union Local 1 of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters, Butcher Workmen Union, AFL-CIO. Frank was a well known and avid horseman in the Utica area and served as President of the Utica Horsemen's Association. He was a communicant of the Roman Catholic Church. Frank was predeceased by his wife Kathryn Bjorkman O'Hanlon in 1975 .

Survived by his sons George A. O'Hanlon, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania and William P. O'Hanlon, Jeffersonton, Virginia; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and his devoted and loving companion Betty Blair of Baldwinsville, N. Y.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later time. Arrangements are being handled by Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc., Baldwinsville, N.Y., with interment at the Calvary Cemetery, Utica, N.Y.
