After a long battle with leukemia and dementia, Francis F. "Frank" Newton, 86, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Frank was born in Montreal, Canada and graduated from McGill University. The last 14 years of his life he lived in the retirement community of McHarrie Towne in Baldwinsville where he pursued his hobby of painting with other lovers of art.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Johanna Newton; and several nieces and nephews.

Frank's remains have been donated to the SUNY Health & Science Center. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville has charge of arrangements.
