Francis R. Hammel 91, of Baldwinsville died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Syracuse Home Assoc.. He was born is Buffalo has lived in Baldwinsville since 1958. Retired as a Senior Power Control Supervisor at Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.in 1975 after 46 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member of the Syracuse Power Squadron, the Pioneer Club and the 25 year club. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Annette F. who died in 1986.
Survivors: three daughters, Suzanne H. Lee of Albany, Mary Karen "Katie" Coburn of Carmel, CA Annette M. "Nan" Bowes of Baldwinsville; two sons, F. Richard Hammel, Jr. of Eaglesville,PA James E. Hammel of Baldwinsville; sister, Dorothy Young of Buffalo, two brothers, Charles A. Hammel of Buffalo, John A. Hammel of Gross Point, MI; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30am Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Falardeau Funeral Home and 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church Baldwinsville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Calling hours are 2-4 & 7-9pm Sunday, February 16, 2003 at the funeral home, 93 Street.
